The Titonka Consolidated School Board of Directors, Titonka, Counties of Kossuth, Winnebago, Hancock, State of Iowa, met in a joint work session with the Woden-Crystal Lake Community School Board of Directors and the North Iowa Community School Board of Directors on March 10, 2010, at the North Iowa School, Buffalo Center, IA.
The meeting commenced at 6:10 in the commons area. Introductions were made and guests were welcomed by Superintendent Cory Myer. Board members and administration from all three districts were present, as well as some community members and some North Iowa students.
A tour of the North Iowa School facilities was given to all in attendance.
Following the tour, North Iowa staff spoke about educational programming, extra curricular activities, professional development, technology, and scholarship information. Superintendent Myer presented financial information for the North Iowa district and discussed enrollment trends and cost sharing possibilities.
School personnel and board members from Woden-Crystal Lake, Titonka, and North Iowa districts discussed potential sharing possibilities and addressed questions previously put forth by Titonka community members.
Meeting adjourned at 9:20 p.m.
